I am sad to have to give this place one star, because /some/ of the staff (donny and victoria specifically), and paul (one specific manager) are absolutely wonderful and amazing and I love them! However, the majority of the staff like to profile their customers greatly based on their appearance, and by eavesdropping on their conversations. (I suspect a bit of LGBTQ+ discrimination here, as my group is not cisgendered or straight, and we openly discuss problems and aspects of the community sometimes.) My family and I were newly regulars at this restaurant, we'd been coming there every day until this particular incident, for about three weeks. We also have membership cards. For a bit of background, my family consists of myself, my fiance', and my roomie. We're homeless, we sleep in our car, but my roomie and fiance' have jobs, and we are PAYING customers. We would regularly buy dinner or a pie in a jar while we would hang out and use sherri's wifi. For our appearance - I have an undercut with blue hair fading to blonde at the tips, with a wiry hair complexion, was wearing a long sleeve full metal alchemist shirt and pocketless black sweatpants this particular day, my roommate usually wears all black, has black hair with red streaks, and my fiance' is bald and has a goatee, usually wears camo pant and a t-shirt. One evening literally a few days ago, we grabbed dinner elsewhere and were eating in the parking lot in our car, intending to enter shari's for dessert afterwards, but in the middle of eating, I needed to go use the restroom. I let my fiance' hold my sandwich while I went inside to use the restroom (note, did not even bring my purse nor was I carrying anything). No one greeted me at the door so I went straight to the bathroom. While in there for about a minute or maybe two, definitely not five, the door to the bathroom slammed open and I could see through the cracks of my stall, as I was literally cleaning myself off, this waitress slowly slink by my stall. It freaked me out but I didn't say anything and flushed, being done, and exited my stall to see her now at the mirror - note she didn't even use the restroom, just went into the stall next to me, then right back out. She was checking her mascara or something and rushed out as soon as I got to the sink to wash my hands - without washing her own hands. Ew. I finished washing, and left, seeing no other employees on my way out. I then ran back to my car to finish my sandwich. I did mention my odd bathroom encounter to my roomie and fiance', asking if they had seen the waitress I met before. They said no. Not even five minutes later as I am still eating, a police officer approaches my car, and asks what we are doing. He was very kind as I explained I was in the middle of eating (I still had food n my mouth from my sandwich), he then informed me that someone at sherri's had called saying that someone (me) in the bathroom was doing drugs and being strange. My jaw dropped and I embarrassingly informed the officer that I had just gone into sherri's to ***, and when we were done with our dinner, we were going to go in and buy dessert. He then interrogated me asking if we didn't pay for our meal and we had to explain to him that we had not even gone inside yet except the one bathroom break, and intended to go in for pie afterwards. This was not the first time shari's has bothered us in this manner as at some other point a female employee burst into the men's room to try to rush my room mate out when he was in there to do some make up - another employee explained that she thought he might have been doing drugs. Which even if they did think someone was doing drugs in the mens room, it is never ever okay to send in a WOMAN. After talking to me the officer literally said "I can see you folks are not doing anything wrong" and he then went in to talk to sherri's about what they had done. He then went inside to have a talk with shari's, because this apparently really is becoming a problem. We still went in for pie, but the waitress working refused to look any of us in the eye, we never got any form of an apology and the manager, michelle, hid in the back until they were prettymuch so slammed she had no choice but to come out and help, by which at that point, blatantly ignored my fiance' and I while saying hi and being friendly to my room mate. We also ordered an additional pie, but since my fiance' put in the order, she must have thought it was for me and not our room mate because we asked for it to be hot and she instead threw down a cold apple pie in front of my fiance' and I, when we ordered the hot apple pie for our room mate. Adding insult to injury, the waitress seated a man across from us who not only was filthy and smelled strange, but kept twitching and talking to himself! Can someone call on HIM please?! Would also like to point out that their menu is not GERD friendly what-so-ever, nor is it safe for consumption for people who have multiple chemical sensitivity or anything similar, as almost all food I ate from shari's gave me violent gastritis related attacks to the point of vomiting - which would either be massive amounts of sugar in their food, or MSG. Ima go with MSG since I even vomited up the literal potato pieces from their loaded hash browns and there shouldn't be any sugar there. Seemed safe enough for my roomie and fiance' though. So uhm. If you go to shari's. Be sure not to use their restroom and especially don't wipe your own ***. They might call the cops on you and say you are doing drugs for it. And then serve a literal druggie seated near you while treating you like ***. Needless to say, we won't be returning to shari's.
I have not heard anything and the waiter is a lie to because I point-blank showed her the bone that showed her the three pieces of bone that was in my hamburger
